Joseph Corella hails from the hot desert of Phoenix, Arizona. He has traveled the world, using his dance, theatre, and fitness background to promote the importance of movement. Joseph's passion for movement began in his early childhood with extensive training in jazz, tap, contemporary, ballet, and musical theatre. At the age of thirteen, he joined the renowned choreographer Marguerite Derricks' prestigious dance company in Los Angeles, Tremaine Teen Company, and later appeared in Disney's Geppetto alongside pop superstar Usher. After finishing high school, Joseph moved to LA to join the pop singing group "Tropic Zone," where he recorded music and performed across the USA.
Joseph moved to New York City and made his Broadway debut in All Shook Up at the Palace Theatre. He then toured the US with productions of Grease (as Dance Captain) and West Side Story. His other theatrical credits include Surf, the Musical, CATS, Altar Boyz, Guys & Dolls, and more. Joseph honed his acting skills at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York City and also worked on his comedic abilities with the Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles.
After spending time in New York City, Joseph moved back to Los Angeles to embark on a new adventure. Some of his work in Los Angeles includes dancing alongside actress and pop star Selena Gomez on the Disney hit TV show "Wizards of Waverly Place," and with Rebel Wilson, with whom he choreographed a fun CATS musical-inspired routine called "Catzercize" for Rebel Wilson. Additionally, he danced alongside legend Dolly Parton in her made-for-TV movie “Mountain Magic Christmas!”
As a choreographer, Joseph has been asked to choreograph on a number of high-profile projects ranging from the hit Lifetime reality show Dance Moms, the HBO special A Quinceañera Story, MTV Video Music Awards, CW's Hart of Dixie & much more! Joseph has also choreographed for numerous recording artists including Neon Trees & 98 Degrees!
Joseph also teamed up with fitness guru, Cassey Ho of Blogilates, and Pop Pilates for a YouTube collaboration for her 6 million followers.
He also collaborated with Michelle Khare of “Challenge Accepted” fame, serving as her co-star and coach for “I Trained Like A Broadway Star For 6 Weeks!”
